I am a self-taught mixed media embroidery artist inspired by the ever-changing Devon coast. After many years living in the city, I felt a pull back to the sea which renewed my creative energy.

My main inspiration comes from seaweed, the way light plays with it, the fine shapes, texture and feeling of movement. My pieces begin as a pressing made from foraged seaweed, which develop into paintings, used with clay or embroidered, most often I use a mixture to make a final piece of art work.

My art work is for people who find calm in nature and want to keep a special little bit of it for themselves.
